Why every pair of MIRAVEELLE swim shorts has a different print on each leg.

Two legs, two prints
A pair of swim shorts has two legs. Somewhere along the way, everyone agreed they should match. We didn’t see why.
So we cut every pattern down the centre seam and gave each side its own print. The left leg might be a pixelated swell; the right leg, a wall of pool tiles laid slightly wrong. They meet in the middle, at a seam that’s there anyway.
The rule we keep: the two prints on a pair always come from two different families. Never two pixel waves, never two tile prints. Otherwise it would just be a pattern.

The sea as a low-resolution game would draw it: chunky square swells, dithered foam, a lagoon enlarged until every ripple is a block.
Shifted tiles & big ripples
Pool tiles cut up and re-laid a few millimetres wrong, and the light on the bottom of the pool, blown up until the lines wobble.
Every print starts at the pool, lake or harbour bath: the swell outside, the tiles underneath, the light on the bottom. See all twelve on The Prints.
Buy half an outfit
Each print also has a camp shirt. The shirt carries one print, so it matches one leg of four different swim shorts. Wear it with those, with anything else, or buy just the shorts. Everything is sold separately — you choose the half you want.
The same twelve prints turn up on bucket hats, dry pouches and beach towels, including two hats that are reversible and two towels that are split down the middle, like the shorts.
What we don’t claim
Our swim shorts are made for swimming, sitting on the edge of the pool and getting a paper cone of chips afterwards. They are not competition swimwear. We describe materials and care on every product page and keep our claims to what the product actually is.
