Inseam

The inseam is the seam on the inside of the leg, from the crotch to the hem. Every swim short comes in three: the shorter the inseam, the more thigh you show. Our photos show the 7-inch.

How to measure

Waist: measure around your natural waist, where you wear your shorts, keeping the tape level and relaxed.
Chest: measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms.
Head: measure around your head just above the ears and eyebrows.
Inseam of shorts you already own: lay them flat and measure the inside leg seam from the crotch to the hem.

Volley shorts have an elastic waist: between sizes, take the smaller one. Board shorts have a flat waistband: take your usual trouser size.

The camp shirts have a relaxed, boxy fit. Take your usual size; size down for a closer fit.
